A flower is a lovesome thing. A luscious living lovesome thing. A daffodil, a rose, no matter where it grows is such a lovely lovesome thing.
Billy Strayhorn -A Flower is a Lovesome Thing.
First , that wonderful song
I visited with the non - horse equines today.
I think they were up to something. They look like they were up to something.
I left before they got me in trouble!
Barncat wandered by, then disappeared!
This is Lewisia. A charming little plant. It's perfect for a rock garden. That's actually the only place it thrives. Definitely under utilized. It's a West Coast thing, Oregon and Washington. Common name is “ Cliff Maids. It's subalpine. It's an evergreen perennial that grows well from seeds.

I still say that Barncat is suspiciously well-groomed for a barn cat.
What a spectacular post
Thank you so much for that song. And, I love Lewisia. I'm on the Olympic Peninsula. Also, Mules. I love a mule, any mule. I have loved many horses but Mules tug at me in a different way.
