And when the Sun comes out,/ After this Rain shall stop, /A wondrous Light will fill Each dark, round drop;/ I hope the Sun shines bright; /’Twill be a lovely sight.

The Rain Poem
I hear leaves drinking rain; I hear rich leaves on top Giving the poor beneath Drop after drop; ’Tis a sweet noise to hear These green leaves drinking near. And when the Sun comes out, After this Rain shall stop, A wondrous Light will fill Each dark, round drop; I hope the Sun shines bright; ’Twill be a lovely sight.
William Henry Davies
Davies was a Welsh poet who lived from 1871 to 1940. He spent a lot of his life as a tramp. A hobo. He called his life story “Autobiography of a Supertramp” he probably always took the long way home. He was a fine poet ! George Bernard Shaw was an early fan. Evidently the first guitar player for the group “Supertramp” gave the group its name and then left.
Here's the book! I've only read a bit of the introduction by Shaw. Quite Shavian !

I was out of treats for the donkeys so I gave them handfuls of sweet feed. Sweet feed is like crack to mules and donkeys.
Sweet feed you got there – would be a shame if somethin' were to happen to it...
