Glads are one of my favorite flowers- I have a bunch of blooming right outside my door. Late in the day, after the rain, the clouds left and the early evening sun made for some good pictures.

A former best friend declared the gladiolus was THE flower of the East Village. There was not one at her memorial service, which was put together by people in denial. They filled the place with white lilies and red roses, neither of which she liked. Thanks for the memory.
