On soft Spring nights I'll stand in the yard under the stars - Something good will come out of all things yet - And it will be golden and eternal just like that - There's no need to say another word.
Jack Kerouac - "Big Sur"
I love this quote. Kerouac, when he wasn't raving, could be quite hopeful and optimistic.
It was cool, almost cold all weekend. I needed the coat till the sun came out mid afternoon .It was 70° today and they were beautiful flowers in the greenhouses. It was overcast but it still felt like spring.
Lewisia - a charming little rock garden plant, native to the West Coast. I had never seen them until this year. The blooms are only about the size of a quarter with an outsized expressiveness of lovely pastel colors.
Dipladenia and Mandevilla are, I believe, the same plant. Mandevilla is a Dipladenia trained to climb. They're pretty great annuals, with hot expressive colors and come July, they are bloom machines.
We have some amazing clematis right now.
It's hard to believe that these smelled better than they looked!
These Columbine…my goodness!
That's all I have room for right now- thanks for dropping by!
Another day saved by poetry and flowers. Thank you
Ahhh….thank you for all of the color and the beauty. Both are so needed now. 🌷🪻🌸
