This time of year I reach the river right about sunrise; it’s usually very humid and hazy, the sun sort of oozes up like a cosmic lava lamp.

Every time I see a picture of Barncat I want to scoop her up and give her a big snuggly hug. Will someone please bring Band-Aids?
Barncat seriously hooked – doesn't even groom before meals anymore.
Evidently, she was in the hayloft when she heard me pull up.
